Latar belakang: Teknik rotasi flap  digunakan pada tindakan terapi basalioma di pinggir kelopak mata bawah dengan tujuan untuk menghindari komplikasi yang mungkin timbul. Komplikasi berupa ektropion seperti terjadi bila dilakukan eksisi elips horizontal setelah aproksimasi pinggir luka eksisi atau bila dilakukan eksisi elips vertikal maka ujung elips akan terbentur pada pinggir kelopak mata bawah. Kedua hal di atas dapat terjadi akibat sempitnya ruang.
Kasus: Seorang perempuan 48 tahun, menderita tumor berukuran 7mm x 6mm x 5mm  di pinggir kelopak mata bawah dengan diagnosis histopatologik: basalioma.  Dilakukan tindakan eksisi dari penutupan luka dengan teknik rotasi flap.
Diskusi: Dengan melakukan rotasi flap yaitu  memindahkan kombinasi satu unit kecil kulit dan jaringan subkutis beserta pasokan darahnya sendiri dari satu lokasi ke lokasi yang lain, sehingga penarikan pinggir kelopak mata bawah dapat dihindari dan tidak terjadi ektropion.

Background: Flap rotation technique is used Basalioma therapy located at the bank of palpebra interior to avoid possible complication which may occur if horizontal ellipse excision is performed that is ektropion after approximation of bank of excision could result in collision of ends of ellipse of palpebra inferior. The above two problems are associated with restricted area.
Case: A 48 years old female admitted with tumor with size of 7 mm x 6 mm x 5 mm, anatomy pathologically was diagnosed as Basalioma. The choise of therapy for such a big tumor is flap rotation. It has been proved that ektropion dos not occur after healing.
Discussion: By performing flap rotation that is moving a combination of one small unit of skin and subcutis with blood vessel it self from one located to another location, by this way will stretching of the bank of palpebra inferior could be avoided.
