Eritroderma merupakan penyakit inflamasi kulit yang sering ditemukan. Kausanya ada beberapa, salah satunya adalah karena penyakit sistemik.

Telah dilaporkan satu kasus eritroderma karena gagal ginjal kronik stadium V pada seorang wanita berusia 52 tahun. Pasien datang dengan keluhan eritema 2 hari sebelum masuk rumah sakit. Keluhan diawali dengan timbulnya bercak kemerahan pada kedua tungkai bawah tanpa disertai rasa gatal yang dalam waktu 2 hari menyebar ke seluruh tubuh. Tidak didapati riwayat minum obat atau jamu yang membuat kemerahan bertambah dan riwayat psoriasis atau penyakit kulit lainnya. Pada saat masuk rumah sakit, pasien terlambat 2 hari melakukan hemodialisis. Ia menderita gagal ginjal kronik stadium V sejak  4 bulan sebelum masuk rumah sakit dan menjalani terapi hemodialisis 2 kali/minggu. Selama dirawat di Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo, pengobatan yang utama dari divisi Ginjal Hipertensi Departemen Ilmu Penyakit Dalam ialah hemodialisis, yang langsung dilakukan pada hari pertama pasien dirawat-inap  sedangkan dari pihak kami tidak diberikan kortikosteroid sistemik hanya terapi topikal berupa salap lanolin 10% sebagai emolien. Perbaikan terjadi sesuai dengan perbaikan fungsi ginjal.

Erythroderma is an inflammatory skin disease that is frequently found. There are several causes of erythroderma, one of which is due to systemic disease.

A case of erythroderma due to stage V of chronic kidney disease  in a 52-year-old woman is reported. The patient complained of universal erythema for 2 days before she was admitted, started from erythem plaques on her lower legs without itching. There was no history of taking any medication or traditional herbs that worsen the disease, no history of  psoriasis or another cutaneous diseases before. She has suffered of renal disease for 4 months and going on hemodialysis  twice weekly  at Renal – Hypertension Division of Internal Department, Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. She di not come for hemodialysis  according her schedule for 2 days  when she had the skin rash. Hemodialysis  was given the first day she was  admitted , while from us, we did not prescribe systemic corticosteroid; only 10% lanolin ointment as an emollient. Her condition was improved simultaneously with the improvement of her kidney function.
