Laser V beam merupakan standar emas untuk kelainan vaskular. Namun, sampai saat ini pengobatan JPH belum ada yang memuaskan.

Seorang anak laki-laki berusia 4 tahun menderita JPH eritematosa di pipi kiri dan kantus lateral mata kiri sejak 1 bulan setelah mengalami trauma panas lelehan plastik kipas angin. Pasien telah diobati selama dua bulan dengan salap diflukortolon valerat 0,1% pada siang hari, gel Mederma^®  pada malam hari namun tidak ada perbaikan. Kemudian dilakukan terapi dengan laser V Beam (595 nm) menggunakan parameter spot size 7 mm, fluence 6 J/cm², pulse duration  3 ms dengan kombinasi salap diflukortolon valerat 0,% dan gel Mederma^® . Setelah terapi kombinasi dengan laser V Beam 10 sesi interval 4-5 minggu, tampak lesi merah kecoklatan, menipis dan mengecil.

Terapi laser V beam yang dikombinasi dengan salap diflukortolon valerat 0,1% dan gel Mederma^®   untuk JPH belum pernah dilaporkan. Terapi kombinasi tersebut pada kasus ini memperlihatkan hasil cukup memuaskan.

Facial hypertrophic scar in children is rare and can affect self-esteem. However, until today there is no satisfactory treatment available.

A four year old boy suffered from erythematous hypertrophic scar on left cheek and lateral canthus of left eye. He had been treated for two months with diflucortolone valerat 0,1% ointment in the morning, Mederma gel^® nightly without improvement. Then the patient was treated with V beam laser (595 nm) using spot size 7 mm, fluence 6 J/cm² and pulse duration 3 ms on parameter. We combined therapy with diflucortolon valerat 0,1% ointment and Mederma gel^®. After 10 sessions of V beam laser with 4-5 weks interval, the lesion became red-brown in color, smaller and thinner.

Combination therapy with V beam laser and diflucortolon valerat 0,1% ointment and Mederma gel^® for hypertrophic scars has not been reported. This combination therapy gave satisfying result.
